In Nepal, the harsh reality is that parents in impoverished villages often face unimaginable choices just to survive. With limited opportunities for income, selling their daughters into the sex trade becomes a distressing solution to make ends meet. It's a heartbreaking cycle of poverty and desperation that forces families into these devastating decisions. We are passionately driven to help these vulnerable girls.

What we do is we give these parents an alternative option. Instead of selling their daughter, they can give them to us so that they can have an education, and a hopeful future beyond exploitation.

Dysentery is still one of the leading causes of death in Nepal due to polluted drinking water and a lack of hand washing. This is in part due to a lack of knowledge of the basics that we take for granted in first world conditions.

Hygienic training and clean water systems are a big part of gaining entrance into the hearts and lives of the impoverished people of Nepal.

There is a saying, "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." By bringing training, hygienic supplies, and clean water systems, it helps us to win the trust of the people in those communities to help affect change.

Deep-rooted cultural practices are posing significant challenges, hindering Nepal's advancement and prosperity. These issues, ranging from traditional norms to bureaucratic hurdles, are holding back progress and impacting the well-being of the population.

To address this pressing concern, we've taken a proactive approach by convening leadership meetings with influential business and governmental figures. We're working towards implementing progressive solutions that can reshape the cultural landscape, foster innovation, and pave the way for a more inclusive and thriving society in Nepal.

Our new college home

We are proud to share a meaningful step forward for Hearts For Nepal—the opening of our new College Home.

As the girls in our care grow older and pursue higher education, their needs naturally evolve. This new home was created to provide a more personal, age-appropriate environment where our older girls can focus on their studies, develop independence, and prepare for the next chapter of their lives with confidence and dignity.

More than just a living space, the College Home represents growth, transition, and opportunity. It allows these young women to step into greater responsibility while still being supported in a safe and nurturing environment.

At the same time, this expansion has created additional space in our original hostel. This means we are now able to welcome more young girls into our care—offering them safety, education, and a future filled with hope.

This milestone reflects the heart of our mission: to continually grow in our capacity to serve, empower, and transform lives.
